Music, Art, Technology Mix It Up at Innovate - Exposure for Artists
San Francisco Chronicle, September 28, 2000
"Many artists know I'm the boulder person, but the general public doesn't have much chance to see my work," says Wonne. It will at Yerba Buena.
"The exposure is incredible," said sculptor Tyrome Tripolo, whose twisted-steel and blown-glass forms rise from a pool and dangle from trees. Nearby stands Jonathan Russell's "Spring," its cone-shaped black steel cage filled with hammered copper balls.
"You get the very best response because people aren't looking for the work," Russell says. "They stumble on it. It's real public art."
